It’s looking A LOT like CHRISTMAS at our house!
Shopping √
Wrapping √
Yep!
It’s ALL done. So I thought I would share the fruits of my
labor with you.
Let’s start with the kitchen…my favorite. It’s looking very GINGERLY! I do love my GINGERPEOPLE. Granddaughter M helped decorate the tree…she
loves it as much as I do:)
And you’ll find lots of other sweet GINGERS scattered all around.
This little fella
is trying to disguise himself as he sits in the window looking for SANTA!
These sweet ladies are sitting in a little red rocker that SANTA brought
to my husband on his first Christmas in 1949!
Gifts from friends
& family! They know what
I love😊
SANTA
is
ready to bake some CHRISTMAS COOKIES
This year I added a HOT COCOA BAR…with marshmallows, of course!
This tiered tray
is a new addition…one of my favorite things to decorate with these
days. I added some GNOMES…thought the GINGERPEOPLE
needed some friends. (I love gnomes too!)
Who says you can’t “catch” that devilish
little GINGERBREAD MAN?
Looks like I’ve “caught” a lot of them!
* * * *
Now for the rest of the house…
The SNOWMAN tree
Hubby’s Office…HUNTING tree
And even the
deer get decorated too!
The FAMILY TREE and mantle…lots of special ornaments from
trips, friends, former students, and (of course) made by my kids and grandkids
Now for the OUTSIDE…compliments of a good husband and a helpful
grandson
And finally…THE REASON FOR THE SEASON…I always put my Nativity out
last so that I can take the time to think of the meaning of each special piece.
There’s
even MORE, but by now you are probably on overload!
So…have
you finished decorating?
What’s
your favorite decoration?
Hope each and everyone of you enjoyed a very BLESSED THANKSGIVING and that the CHRISTMAS SEASON will be filled with much JOY.
Note: sorry for the crazy spacing...Blogger woes!!!
Looks like you're all set for Christmas. Every thing looks beautiful. Love you house and that nice big porch.
ReplyDeleteI answered your question on my blog walking.
I love our porch too! I lived in a house with a big porch growing up and said I always wanted to always live in a house with a porch:)
DeleteOh my! I love it all Cheri. Every single thing about Christmas is wonderful to me! Looks like you have been busy. I have too girl and have found out that it sure seems to take me longer than it used too to get things out! LOL! But oh do I love Christmas. Happy Week. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteIt definitely is a huge job but it's worth it when my hubby and grandkids tell me they love it:)
DeleteOH my! I guess we could call you "The Gingerbread Lady"! I love that! Your house must smell so good with all the gingerbread men in there! Love the snowman tree, deer tree, and family tree too! That's a LOT of trees to decorate! Wow! Glad you had some help! Your house is beautiful! Love that big front porch! I can imagine your family all loves being there. I am still working on my decorating. I don't start on it until after Thanksgiving, so I have a ways to go yet. The tree comes last. And no, I haven't even started shopping, but we don't do a LOT of shopping anymore...we try to keep it simple. If it were up to me we'd just be together and enjoy the lights and food and laughter and not worry about gifts, but I don't get my way. LOL. Have a blessed and Merry Christmas/Advent season! Jesus is the reason for the season!! I love your Nativity too. that is a beautiful one.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the gifts, Pam, but I guess the stores would go broke without us:) I'm thankful to be DONE:)
DeleteEverything looks amazing Cheri! I love all your different themed trees. How fun! And your home is beautiful. I adore the architecture. How charming!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kim. We built our little home a little over 40 years ago when we were young, inexperienced, and poor:) But we still love it.
DeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was a lot of work but worth it:)
DeleteI have to say your home is GORGEOUS! I love that you have so many special and individual trees. I have another friend - whose house kind of looks like yours - and she has many trees as well. I don't have mine up yet - just got home but I am going to make a Santa tree this year. Love your home.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I'd love to see your Santa tree. I would love to also have a TEDDY BEAR tree but wouldn't know where to put it!!!
DeleteThank you so much! I'd love to see your Santa tree. I would love to also have a TEDDY BEAR tree but wouldn't know where to put it!!!
ReplyDeleteSo...I always visit with Karen and see you leave comments with her, often. I had to come visit! And I'm sure glad I did. I fell in love with your special gingerbread tree. (I collect Santas...over 200 now), and my two new collections are gnomes & elves. I took a blogging break last week and will publish a new post tomorrow, so, I started a bit of decorating for the season too...but, my job just doesn't hold a candle to your beautiful work. They're all a work of art.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment. I will definitely be looking for your neck of the woods in Blogland:) I can't imagine 200 Santas!!!! And I would love to see photos of your gnomes. I have just fallen in love with them this year. Please come back to visit again.
DeletePs...I will most definitely return to visit with you. (And yes, I'll share my gnomes this month sometime)
DeleteHi Cheri! It does look a lot like Christmas at your house. VERY pretty. I love the gingerbread pieces you have. They are all adorable. I have a few and think I have to make a few more. Have a wonderful week- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThank you, Diana. I do love my GINGERS:) You'll have to send pictures of yours.
DeleteOh my goodness Cheri, wonderful Christmassy post.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely to see your photographs.
Wishing you happy December days.
All the best Jan
Thank you, Jan! Wishing you happy days ahead as well:)
DeleteEverything looks beautiful and fun. I think your gingerbread collection is perfect for the kitchen. Your home is lovely and the outside is amazing! You just need me to send a few inches of snow we got today so it will look like the perfect Christmas card!
ReplyDeleteOh snow!!!!! I'm not sure I'd like to live with it all winter but we get VERY excited down this way when we get a little bit...like once in a blue moon:) Thank you for your compliments:)

ReplyDeleteWOAH... come help me since you are done:) I have my tree up, but the wrapping is yet to be tackled. TODAY, I will add some gifts under my tree! Enjoy your day dear friend, thanks for sharing all of your beautiful decorations! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteWish I were closer to you. I'd be glad to help! I love to decorate and wrap:)
ReplyDeleteWell that is all just so spectacularly lovely that I don't even know where to begin! I do love your generous porch and if I were there I would be sitting and rocking on it instead of helping to decorate, I can assure you of that! But I'd lend moral support. xoxo
ReplyDeleteJenny, you are welcome to sit on my porch anytime. I love it!!!!
DeleteWOW...beautiful home and decorations. My husband and son did all the decorating this year, this year I am holding down a full time job.
ReplyDeleteI am snowman kind of gal, but love your gingerbread people, smiles.
Linda, I like cute snowmen too. So many students and fellow teachers had given me snowmen ornaments or other things, I finally decided I had enough for them to have their own tree:) Good for your hubby and son. If I left the decorating to my hubby, I can only imagine what it would look like...LOL!
DeleteI am overloaded on just Christmas trees...wow, that is a lot of trees to decorate. But I love all the themes. Great job. Love the outside of the house, very pretty. I have a tiny tree in front of the window in the kitchen but other then the one in the living room...that is enough for me.
ReplyDeletehaha....I went back and read your comment on my blog....you called me the industrious one. I would say that is you with all you put out for Christmas. I had to laugh when I read that.
DeleteEverything is so beautiful, Cheri, I too have a gingerbread tree in my kitchen! I am also thankful that my dh decorates the outside!
ReplyDeleteWe tried to keep things as normal as possible this year!
Thank you for sharing.
Blessings,
Sue
Sue, I'd love to see your gingerbread tree. I absolutely love mine!
DeleteIs that an Ewok in the window? So cute!
ReplyDeleteNo, Sandi...not an Ewok:) One of my teddy bear collections...but he could pass for an Ewok couldn't he?
DeleteOh my, your home is decorated so warmly both inside and out. Love it all but your gingerbread themed kitchen is my favorite.
