It's Beginning...NOPE! It Looks a Lot Like...

It’s looking A LOT like CHRISTMAS at our house!

          Decorating

          Shopping

          Wrapping

Yep!  It’s ALL done.  So I thought I would share the fruits of my labor with you.

Let’s start with the kitchen…my favorite.  It’s looking very GINGERLY!  I do love my GINGERPEOPLE.  Granddaughter M helped decorate the tree…she loves it as much as I do:)

And you’ll find lots of other sweet GINGERS scattered all around.

This little fella is trying to disguise himself as he sits in the window looking for SANTA!

These sweet ladies are sitting in a little red rocker that SANTA brought to my husband on his first Christmas in 1949!

Gifts from friends & family!  They know what I love😊

SANTA is ready to bake some CHRISTMAS COOKIES

This year I added a HOT COCOA BAR…with marshmallows, of course!

This tiered tray is a new addition…one of my favorite things to decorate with these days.  I added some GNOMES…thought the GINGERPEOPLE needed some friends.  (I love gnomes too!)

Who says you can’t “catch” that devilish little GINGERBREAD MAN?

Looks like I’ve “caught” a lot of them!

*        *      *      *

Now for the rest of the house…

The SNOWMAN tree

Hubby’s Office…HUNTING tree

And even the deer get decorated too!

The FAMILY TREE and mantle…lots of special ornaments from trips, friends, former students, and (of course) made by my kids and grandkids

Now for the OUTSIDE…compliments of a good husband and a helpful grandson

And finally…THE REASON FOR THE SEASON…I always put my Nativity out last so that I can take the time to think of the meaning of each special piece.

There’s even MORE, but by now you are probably on overload!

So…have you finished decorating?

What’s your favorite decoration?

Hope each and everyone of you enjoyed a very BLESSED THANKSGIVING and that the CHRISTMAS SEASON will be filled with much JOY

Note:  sorry for the crazy spacing...Blogger woes!!!

  3. OH my! I guess we could call you "The Gingerbread Lady"! I love that! Your house must smell so good with all the gingerbread men in there! Love the snowman tree, deer tree, and family tree too! That's a LOT of trees to decorate! Wow! Glad you had some help! Your house is beautiful! Love that big front porch! I can imagine your family all loves being there. I am still working on my decorating. I don't start on it until after Thanksgiving, so I have a ways to go yet. The tree comes last. And no, I haven't even started shopping, but we don't do a LOT of shopping anymore...we try to keep it simple. If it were up to me we'd just be together and enjoy the lights and food and laughter and not worry about gifts, but I don't get my way. LOL. Have a blessed and Merry Christmas/Advent season! Jesus is the reason for the season!! I love your Nativity too. that is a beautiful one.

  6. I have to say your home is GORGEOUS! I love that you have so many special and individual trees. I have another friend - whose house kind of looks like yours - and she has many trees as well. I don't have mine up yet - just got home but I am going to make a Santa tree this year. Love your home.

  8. So...I always visit with Karen and see you leave comments with her, often. I had to come visit! And I'm sure glad I did. I fell in love with your special gingerbread tree. (I collect Santas...over 200 now), and my two new collections are gnomes & elves. I took a blogging break last week and will publish a new post tomorrow, so, I started a bit of decorating for the season too...but, my job just doesn't hold a candle to your beautiful work. They're all a work of art.

    Nice to meet you.

  15. Well that is all just so spectacularly lovely that I don't even know where to begin! I do love your generous porch and if I were there I would be sitting and rocking on it instead of helping to decorate, I can assure you of that! But I'd lend moral support. xoxo

    1. Linda, I like cute snowmen too. So many students and fellow teachers had given me snowmen ornaments or other things, I finally decided I had enough for them to have their own tree:) Good for your hubby and son. If I left the decorating to my hubby, I can only imagine what it would look like...LOL!

  17. I am overloaded on just Christmas trees...wow, that is a lot of trees to decorate. But I love all the themes. Great job. Love the outside of the house, very pretty. I have a tiny tree in front of the window in the kitchen but other then the one in the living room...that is enough for me.
