Words of Wisdom

Things are very slow here.  The heat continues to be sweltering and most of us try to hide ourselves away in the air-conditioned indoors just to survive the day.  Keeping the grandkids has tuckered me out and there's just nothing much going on.  Therefore, there has been nothing of interest to post about.  However, I didn't want my few readers to feel I had left the blogging world altogether so today I'm sharing a few more of my favorite quotes (with pictures not my own I'm sorry to say).  I hope some of these words might bring you a moment of joy or reflection.

It's easy to stand with the crowd; but it takes
courage to stand alone.

How wonderful it is that Nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.
--Anne Frank

We could learn a lot from crayons:  some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors...but they ALL exist very nicely in the SAME BOX.

Do not follow where the path my lead.
Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Life is too good to waste a day.  It's up to YOU to make it sweet.
--Sarah Louise Delany

I hope that all is right and good in your little part of the world.

A Really Cute Giveaway:

Aren't these adorable?  I spent endless hours as a child playing with paper dolls.  If you'd like a chance to win something special from this artist visit her blog at http://www.thepolkadotcloset.blogspot.com/.  These would look so cute in my granddaughter's room!
